Hardware
Macintosh PowerPC or Windows compatable computer with network connection. A modem connection will work. A minimum of 64MB Ram is recommended. 32MB Ram may work satisfactorily.

Software
DrillBits is written in Java and requires additional software called a Java Virtual Machine (JVM) to run.

The main install page includes the option to download the necessary software to run Java applications on your computer.

Please use this option () if you are unsure if you have a JVM installed on your computer. Windows users - please download with the include vm check box selected.

Updates
DrillBits is undergoing revision on a continual basis. The latest version of the DrillBits software package is available for download from the DrillBits Installer portion of this site. Once you have installed DrillBits you will periodically be prompted that there is a new version available - click Yes and the new version will be installed.
