DrillBits may introduce some unfamiliar concepts. In this section the basic functionality of DrillBits will be explained and any concepts which are beyond those associated with basic Macintosh or Windows usage will be defined. The Application DrillBits serves as an study aid for your language course. It presents drills created by your instructor. You are allowed three attempts to answer a given drill item, answer correctly and you are presented with the next drill item, answer incorrectly three times and you are presented with the correct answer which you should enter to proceed to the next drill item. Three indicators in the lower right of the DrillBits window display answer statusred = incorrect, green = correct. You may at any time use the View menus to request a hint if one is provided, the correct answer, or give up. Currrently DrillBits requires a network connection, either modem or ethernet, to function properly. For more information on using DrillBits see the Using DrillBits portion of this site. |
